Belize is
located in Central America, and bordered by the North by Mexico,
and to the West and South by Guatemala. Ambergris Caye (pronounced
"Key") is the largest of the many islands that border
the country, (25 miles long), and is situated 35 miles off the North
East of Belize. The Belize Barrier Reef is just 1/3 mile from the
Island, and is the second largest reef in the world (approx. 190
miles long), making Ambergris Caye a world-class diving destination.

Getting to the Island:
The Island of Ambergris Caye
is a short 15-20 minute flight, or 1-1 1/2 boat ride from the town
of Belize City. The two main ways of getting to San Pedro, Ambergris
Caye, are by plane and by boat. Belize City's Municipal Airstrip
houses the two main local airlines, MayaIsland Air and Tropic Air.
There are many boat docks in the City, including the main Marine
Terminal and the Belize Tourism Village.
San Pedro Town
Ambergris Caye is often referred
to as "San Pedro," which is the main Island Town, and
the hub of activity and adventure. Most flights and boat charters
arrive here.
